Kinkaid Middle School students were busy this past weekend competing in two different tournaments. The seventh grade speech and drama students competed in the St. Thomas High School Tournament and fifth and sixth grade students compete in the Houston Holiday Hoedown Quiz Bowl Tournament hosted by TH Rogers.
Kinkaid was awarded a Sweepstakes Trophy at the St. Thomas Tournament for being one of the top three schools participating in the tournament. Thirty students moved from preliminary rounds to semifinals and finals.
Three of our four teams made it to the playoffs (seeded 11th, 7th and 4th). Our Kinkaid B team earned second place overall, losing in the finals.
