Field hockey players Merritt Cozby, Claire Watson, Katherine Berman, Caroline Hanan, Kaylie Mings and Emma Eggleston '15 have been selected to the USA Field Hockey National Futures Championships. The six Falcons were chosen from scores of athletes participating in the USA Field Hockey Regional Futures Tournament conducted on the Kinkaid campus, May 30, 2015. In addition to making it to nationals, Mings and Eggleston were also named to the distinguished 2015 Futures Elite Academy selections. Falcon field hockey players chosen for nationals are:
- Merritt Cozby: U14 NFC Selection
- Claire Watson: U14 NFC Selection
- Katherine Berman: U16 NFC Selection
- Caroline Hanan: U16 NFC Selection
- Kaylie Mings: U16 NFC Selection
- Emma Eggleston: U19 NFC Selection
The Futures Elite Academy Program is the top level of the Olympic Development Pipeline, including Futures Elite and the U17, U19 and U21 Junior National Team Squads. The Futures Elite Academy Program exists to provide additional training and competition opportunities for athletes identified with the potential to someday represent the USA.
