During the 8th grade trip to Washington, DC, students went to the U.S. Naval Academy in nearby Annapolis, MD, and had the opportunity to meet with Casey Cowan '14. Students chatted with Cowan by the gift shop, a favorite stop for the annual trip. Cowan, one of Kinkaid's wrestling greats, had just finished his Calculus III exam and was headed to his Cyber exam, his last exam of his Plebe year. He answered students' questions about his experiences at the Naval Academy and his winning wrestling season this year. According to Kinkaid teachers in attendance, Cowan is still the polite, self-confident young man everyone remembers at Kinkaid.
