Kinkaid coach and track and field legend Terri Turner Hairston will be a guest speaker at the National Scholastic Athletics Foundation's Project Triple Jump Clinic in Houston, October 16-19, 2014. Turner was one of the early legends of the triple jump on the women’s side, setting four world records between 1981 and 1984 while in high school (!) and at the University of Texas, the last being 43-4.25. She won two NCAA titles at Texas and was a point-scoring machine in multiple events for Lady Longhorn teams of that era. The clinic is open to all interested coaches and athletes who register. State-of-the-art coaching and training will be available as well as opportunities for observation and interaction with the coaching staff.
